ABOUT US
The staff of Actors Base Camp consists of professional actors who currently work in television, film and commercials. With a combined experience of over 50 years in the business, our staff knows the difficulties of starting and maintaining an acting career. We are aware of what it takes to live in Los Angeles as aspiring performers. And most importantly, we understand the constant and ever- changing nature of the business.RAY PROSCIA
Ray Proscia started his acting career as a teenager in New York City, appearing in many Off-Broadway shows. A graduate of NYU’s School of Drama, Ray had the privilege of studying with such great acting teachers as Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen. Along with his mentor, acting coach Alice Spivak, these theatre legends taught Ray a strong and definitive acting technique.
In 1992, Ray moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film. Since that time, he has appeared in dozens of prime time TV shows, as well as, major motion pictures and daytime dramas. Having trained extensively on both coasts in world accents, Ray has carved a niche for himself in Hollywood as a “go-to-guy” for dialect work.
RIC COY
Ric Coy is a Midwest transplant. Born and raised in a small town in northern Wisconsin. He developed his acting chops while at Simpson College in Iowa. Ric worked locally in Des Moines doing commercials and print work, but knew LA was the place to be.
After graduating college with a degree in Theater/ Education, Ric packed up and headed west. His Aunt recommended that he go to the IMTA convention where he landed representation and his acting career took off. Since that time, he has worked in films, prime time and daytime TV, print, commercials, and on stage. “I knew from a very early age that acting was in my blood, and in order to pursue my passion, LA was the place for me”.
